In a General Affadavit, Mahala (Walker) Parks states "that at the time of the death of Reuben Parks-viz. Dec 6th 1875, the only child surviving him as well as the only child he ever had-viz. Lavina A. Parks who was 16 years old the 3rd day of May 1875." This would make dob 3 May 1859, which contradicts dob given in her Widow's Application of 3 August 1881 where she states dob for Lavina as 3 May 1858, which agrees with the information in the 1860 census.
